Gediflora bvba is committed to the protection of all personal data it holds in accordance with the guidelines laid down in the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in accordance with the European Regulation 2016/679, which took effect on 25 May 2018.

With this declaration we would like to inform you how Gediflora bvba (hereinafter “Gediflora”) with registered office at Schierveldestraat 14, 8840 Oostnieuwkerke, Belgium, Tel.: 0032 (0)51 26 88 88 , collects and processes data.

When and how does Gediflora obtain your personal data?

Gediflora can obtain your personal data in the following ways:

  • by using our services as a direct customer, agent or distributor or as a customer of one of our agents or distributors,
  • by supplying goods directly or providing services directly to us,
  • by contacting us yourself, e.g. by filling out the contact form or by subscribing to our newsletter.
  • by being a potential business partner of interest to us (as a potential customer or distributor of our products/services, as a supplier or as another important link in the sales of our products).

Which data does Gediflora keep?

Below you will find an overview of the personal data (collected mainly for administrative purposes) that we keep.

By “personal data” we mean all information relating to an identifiable individual person.

  • telephone and fax number
  • e-mail address
  • other personal data that you actively provide, e.g. by means of a business card or other correspondence.

If you are a customer/distributor or supplier, we also store the following data :

  • bank account number
  • VAT number
  • history of sales or purchases
  • payment details
  • any other information which may be useful in the context of  our business relationship or for the optimal implementation of our agreement.

We do not collect or process any sensitive information, such as e.g. data relating to race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, physical or mental status or sexual orientation.

Why do we need your data?

First and foremost, Gediflora keeps your data in order to optimally execute our business agreement.

In addition, Gediflora uses your data to send you information which may be of interest to you. For example, to inform you about our products and services, interesting facts or sector-related activities. Usually this is done in the form of a newsletter sent to you by email.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, please contact Celine Devos ( who is responsible for GDPR. With each newsletter you also have the possibility to easily unsubscribe, and therefore you will no longer receive the newsletters in the future.

Who do we share your personal data with?

Gedifora will not sell your data to third parties and will only make them available to third parties if this is absolutely necessary in order to execute our business agreement with you (e.g. a supplier who delivers our goods to you will be informed of your name, address and telephone number) or in order to comply with a legal obligation.

We also work with companies that have access to the data that we hold, such as our ICT partner, our external audit office and our credit insurance company. These companies treat your data securely and confidentially, fully in accordance with the GDPR legislation.

In this context, we would like to emphasize that the other companies belonging to the Gediflora Group, (Mums bvba, Paraty bvba and Pieters Plant Production bvba), are not regarded as third parties and that Gediflora shares your personal data with these companies.

How do we keep your personal data secure?

It goes without saying that Gediflora takes the utmost care in the protection of your data. We have therefore implemented all necessary technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes.

What are your rights?

When Gediflora collects information from you, we will send you an e-mail* to inform you of this and to notify you of your rights.  As stated above, you have the right to unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time. In addition, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. Of course, data that are necessary to optimally execute a business agreement with you will remain in our possession.
